INTERVIEWEES WANTED FOR GRAUDATE THESIS PROJECT RELATING TO FAMILY PLANNING, SIBLINGS AND GENETIC CONDITIONS
Goals of the study:
Hope to give a voice to adult siblings from families with either confirmed or suspected genetic conditions. The goal is to better understand the role of an undiagnosed genetic condition in the family, with regards to what factors you identify as important to consider while planning a family.
You are a healthy adult of childbearing age (>18 years; pre-menopausal for women)
You had a biological sibling with a genetic condition without a identified genetic cause
You do not have any children (biological or adopted) at this time
What is involved?
The interview will take between 30-60 minutes of your time. The interviews will contain questions about your approach to family planning decision-making. In particular, the study is looking for where you get support, your relationship with and/or caregiving status for your sibling and if family planning is an open conversation between you and your partner.
